May 4th & 6th, Weekend Wrap Up

Friday, May 4th, & Sunday May 6th, 2018 Fishing Reports

Friday and Sunday’s all day fishing trips marked the true beginning of the 2018 spring haddock fishing. Friday’s trip had 24 anglers on board, some experienced and some not. We managed to catch our limit by 1230 in the morning. Just an awesome day of fishing. On top of catching our limit, the size of the fish that we saw were big. More than half of the keepers on board were over the 5 pound mark.

Sunday’s trip was even better, if you can believe it. We had 22 people on board, and we had our limit by 1130. The fish were not quite as big on average as Friday, but quality non the less.

We anchored both days, and didn’t move once. The majority were caught on bait, however the fish were feeding so hard that jigs worked just as well. We don’t know how long this blitz will last, so make sure to make a reservation and come out sooner than later.

Weekend Wrap Up

April 28th & 29th 2018 Fishing Report

Both Saturday and Sunday’s trips where very similar this weekend. The weather was vey foggy, with a 10 knot breeze out of the South. We continued to pick at the haddock down on Stellwagon Bank.

Both days consisted of a steady pick in around 130 feet of water, alternating between drifting and anchoring depending on the wind. We made a few stops in deeper water off of the edges, and added some redfish to our catch.

Although the fishing hasn’t been as good as last spring, the anglers who had a feel for what they were doing managed to put their 12 haddock on the boat. There’s also been an abundance of sea life to see everyday. Whales and dolphin were all over the place, adding another exciting attraction to the days.

Don’t forget to call for reservations AT 978 559 1978.  We’ll see you soon.

April 2018 – Opening Day Weekend

Saturday, April 21st, 2018 OPENIND DAY!

Well, the first weekend of 2018 is in the books.  Saturday started off slow, fishing up on Jefferys.  However, by the end of the day we put enough haddock on the boat to make a decent trip.  Hopefully Sunday’s trip will be more what we hope to expect this spring.

Sunday, April 22nd, 2018 Fishing Report

On Sunday we went down to Stellwagon with a private charter, and had the fishing that we’ve come to expect in the spring aboard the Lady Sea.  Drifting in 120 feet of water, with beautiful spring weather, we had a steady catch of haddock all day.  Unfortunately we had to contend with some really nice cod fish that we released alive and well, although the action of hooking them was still fun and exciting.  All in all, week one was a success.

Call now for our annual Spring Special of $56.00, for an all day trip.

This week’s schedule:

Friday, April 27th         ALL DAY FISHING  7am – 4pm
Saturday, April 28th,   ALL DAY FISHING 7am – 4pm

Friday, August 25th, 2017 Fishing Report

Friday, August 25th, 2017

It was another nice day on the north Atlantic. The sea conditions were a little bumpy around 3 ft out of the north. Our first stop was kind of a mess. We anchored the boat, but the tide was running hard and made the fishing tough. On our second stop we decided to try drifting. It worked out well. We spent the rest of the day drifting in anywhere from 230 ft to 300 ft of water. We had 2 big wolffish that were released unharmed. The average was about 6 keeper haddock per person, with some people having as many as 15. A 8lb cusck won the pool for the day. All in all, a great day of fishing.

Wednesday, August 23rd, Half Day Fishing

August 23rd, 2017 Half Day Fishing Trip

The afternoon half day trip was another fun excursion on a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, with a 2 ft sea and 10 kts of mild wind. The boat was full of families out to enjoy the ocean. We managed to scrape together some haddock and red fish to bring home for dinner. We also had some nice cod fish that were released unharmed. The fishing was spectacular, but with no dogfish, the experience was great for everyone.

Friday, August 18th, 2017 3/4 Day Trip

Today’s 8am to 2pm, 3/4 day trip was another good one. The weather was not perfect, with 15kts of southerly wind and around 3ft seas. But despite the weather, the Lady Sea produced over 60 keepers. The good haddock fishing to the east continued, complimented by a decent amount of Pollack and red fish. The best part, no dogs to be seen.

Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 Fishing Report

August 16th, 2017

Today’s all day trip was a mix and match pick of a day. We started off in shallow water just short of Tillies, and caught some decent haddock at a slow pace. Throughout the day, we moved south and east, trying 5 different stops. Pollack and cusk made up the rest of the days catch, along with 2 wolf fish, around 20 lbs that were released. With around 120 keepers and beautiful weather, the day was a success. Check out our schedule, and come on out before the haddock season comes to a close in mid September.
